Welcome to the official website of the 2008 Rochester ’97 AAA Alliance Invitational. It is with Great pleasure that we invite you to participate in our 2nd annual Rochester `97 AAA Alliance Invitational. Rochester again will play host @ summers end to the finest Ontario, Canada and Northeast/Great Lakes American hockey squads as they do battle to determine the 2nd annual Rochester ‘97 Alliance Invitational Champion. The 2007 Crowned Champions were the highly respected Toronto Marlies with New Jerseys, Team Comcast placing 2nd. Last season’s tournament attendees will attest to what a great kick off it was to start a season full of competition and sportsmanship for their teams! We have put together a great package of on-ice and off-ice activities that will provide the entire family with a memorable experience. The entire tournament will be played at a single venue – Western New York’s ESL Sports Centre a premier 4-pad complex. You’ll get excellent value for your registration dollar with a Friday evening skills competition (highly recommended), and a welcome party @ Stanley’s Sports Bar overlooking two ice pads. Game action = 4-game guarantee of 3, 15-minute periods of on-ice, no-curfew excitement, with no unexpected costs such as arena entrance fees. The competition will be fierce as only those teams that make the grade will be invited to participate. The Champion of this tournament will have some serious bragging rights. Check out the “Tourney Info” page for tournament format. Activities during the weekend include Rochester RedWings (Minnesota Twins AAA Affiliate) games both Friday and Saturday night, Rochester Rhinos Soccer games and other cultural events. Rochester is host to some of the best golf courses in the Northeast, excellent dining, and a host of other attractions. Check out our “Visitor Info” page for more details. Finally, countless hours have been devoted to putting together such an event. Many thanks go to the team of dedicated volunteers for pulling this all together. Our objective is to make this a memorable experience for your entire hockey family. Savor the moments and enjoy them as these will quickly pass as our children grow. Promote sportsmanship, growth and development to make the game more fun for there is no greater game on earth! Scott Bell |
